ACCOUNT OF THE THIRD « POST-LAUCH » ACTIVITYApril 21st, 2012 Here is the third and last account of the « post-lauch» activities offered by LEVIER, following the release of its publication Affirming Collaboration: Community and Humanist Activist Art in Québec and Elsewhere. For those who were not able to be there, hoping that this report will give an outline of the content of this workshop concerning conflict resolution.
Collective Creativity and Collaboration.Affirming, Celebrating and Transforming Energywith Judy Ringer 11th - 13th November 2011 a personal account by Lilly Picts (http://www.lillypicts.tumblr.com) I recently wrote a job application, in it I was asked to talk about my abilities and limitations in respect of conflict resolution; I talked about my desire to have conflict over and done with as quickly a possible and my tendency therefore to be submissive and do anything to regain the sense of being liked; to make it stop! After participating in Collective Creativity and Collaboration; Affirming, Celebrating and Transforming Energy with Judy Ringer, I know I now have other options available to me and hope that I have the strength and courage to try a few of them out.

ACCOUNT OF THE SECOND «POST-LAUCH» ACTIVITYFebruary 17th, 2012 Here is the second of three accounts of the « post-lauch» activities offered by LEVIER, following the release of its publication Affirming Collaboration: Community and Humanist Activist Art in Québec and Elsewhere.
My Soma (or, Beginnings of “us”)Adriana Disman
First, it should be said that:
This text is not a retelling of Jorge Goia’s October 2011 Soma workshop for LEVIER. This text is inherently faulty through the slippage of memory and inherently true through the lens of the individual. This text uses the word “begin” often because, for me, Soma generated many beginnings. This text is carved from words that were said by Goia, by participants of the workshop, by things I have read and heard and seen and I no longer know where “my” words begin and the words of an “other” end.
This text is ours. |

TRAVEL TO THE BERLIN HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL Participatory performance with Petra Kuppers and Neil Marcus September 9, 2011, at à Circuit Est centre chorégraphique
by Melissa Mollen Dupuis, with the collaboration of Amélie Girard
The workshop-performance in which we participated on Friday, September 9, 2011 was taken from an experience of exclusion that Petra Kuppers and Neil Marcus experienced during a visit to the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. Incredible, but true, this place is inaccessible to people in wheelchairs. A legal challenge was made to change this injustice but it was in vain – the complainants lost their case. The creation of this performance was for Petra and Neil a way of seeing the memorial – a replica that was not created to celebrate the dead as was the original but rather to celebrate life.
